Stuyvesant Outdoor Adventures NEW Pheasant habitat for 2012
Signature series food and cover mixes from Pheasants Forever are proven, field tested mixes that are widely regarded as being the best in the industry. Stuyvesant Outdoor Adventures has chosen three different mixes which we are utilizing in our pilot program to bolster our wild life habitat management program. Not only will this provide lush cover for our upland birds but the nutrients found in these seed mixes will help grow our whitetail deer herd as well as our wild turkey population. Early Long Tail Milo
Short growing seasons are no longer a barrier to good food production for game birds and other wildlife. Early Longtail Milo is a short stature, very early maturity grain sorghum that provides a heavy seed crop in as little as 85 days in normal growing conditions. It is wonderful food and escape cover for birds. Long tail Milo makes great hunting habitat that affords maximum visibility of your bird dogs while working cover.
Rooster Booster Mix
Rooster Booster provides feeding habitat for deer, turkeys and upland wildlife, and generally lasts longer than corn-only food plots. It provides a diverse cover and food plot area for pheasants, quail and other wildlife. This early maturing mix is heavy on sorghums, with plenty of corn, buckwheat and German millet.
Winter Survival Mix
Winter Survival Mix provides excellent cover and food for wildlife in areas with tough winter weather. A blend of early varieties, this mix is heavy on high energy corn, rounded out with sorghums, sunflowers, and buckwheat. Upland bird Rates
Walk the beautifully maintained fields of Stuyvesant Outdoor Adventures and get lost in the mountainous scenery as you hunt fast flying pheasants or chukkar. Stuyvesant Outdoor Adventures has a 500 + acre upland bird preserve with the some best well manicured feilds in the industry. We offer different types of feilds for several different hunting expierences. Our facility features a state of the art kennel with extraordinary pointing and flushing dogs. Hunters dogs are welcome and we provide housing in our radiant heated kennels. Stuyvesant Outdoor Adventures is also equipped with a bird tower that hosts continental style tower shoots. No hunting license is required to hunt because we are a Class A shooting preserve. We do Require ALL HUNTERS to wear ether blaze orange hats or vests and protective eye wear. Season is from September 1st - March 31st. Stuyvesant Outdoor Adventures offers an Am 8-12 hunt and a pm 1-5 hunt.
ALL upland bird ammo must be purchased from our pro shop. Stuyvesant Outdoor Adventures is an Eco-friendly shooting preserve and we require steel shot loads. Ammo costs $17 for a box of 25 rounds, we have varying sizes to suit your guns needs. Blaze orange Hats, vests and eye wear are availible for purchase in our pro shop as well.
A 50 clay warm-up can be added on to any Package for $75. This includes: 50 clays and 2 boxes of ammo (50 shells).

Upland Bird Stay and Hunt Packages
Arrive the night before and unwind in the beautiful Stuyvesant Manor. After a night of relaxation wake up to a delicious home cooked breakfast. When you have finished your breakfast, head down to the shooting range for some warm up clays. After your warmed up, we will have a light lunch and get ready for the pheasant hunt. During your Walk up hunt you will be provided a guide and a dog for a nice walk through of our feilds in our beautifully maintained Pheasant preserve. This truly is an experience you will never forget. Hunt ether Am or PM ( depending upon availability)

All our deer tend to be very large due to an abundant food supply and shelter in their habitat. Comprised of more than 3000 acres, our land will offer both the experienced and new hunter a variety of hunting environments. We have over 250 tree stands, dozens of ground blinds, mobile blinds and even a raised multi person hard sided box blind with a heater for those who need added comfort. All of our stands and blinds are regularly scouted by our staff to monitor the movement of game. Stuyvesant Outdoor Adventures prides itself on giving each hunter the best possible opportunity to harvest a deer. Due to our strong emphasis on customer satisfaction we have hunters that book for life with us each year.
